In the 'white garden' we are planting it all with a variation month by month of pollinating plants - we literally are putting our money where our mouth is. Because it is such a newly landscaped garden the last two months have been putting in the bones of the garden by digging out the boarders and replanting the fruit trees in their new sites and creating the new raised beds.

Projects this month have been the following:-

Raised vegetable beds

We have not wasted anything from the renovation of the garden. We have used the turf dug up from the new boarders turned it over and laid it down in the bottom of the raised beds covered that with manure and old leaves left over from the winter. Along with some kitchen waste (veggies only) and additional topsoil these have now been covered and the worm bins have been emptied out and half of the worms put into the beds. The raised beds have been covered with old compost bags to keep the moisture in and the light out so the worms will be able to get on with doing their best to turn this into fertile planting beds.
